VA Acute Mental Health

Architectural and interior design services include the renovation of 3,500 square feet of space for the Acute Mental Health Unit 12B. This space which includes an activity area, TV viewing and dining area is themed to reflect a journey to recovery that is reinforced with calming earth-tone colors and patterns that allude to natural and/or spiritually peaceful settings. Our design addresses concerns related to patient-centered care with the most recovery-oriented approach in the least-restrictive setting. The entry sequence to the 12B Unit will be open, inviting and welcoming. Design services also includes developing Nurse Station layouts that establishes a more direct and open means of staff interaction with patients.
