Prior to founding ThinkForm, Russell DiNardo and Michael Crackel collaborated in the studio of world renowned architect Michael Graves. As the Project Architect/Project Manager for the National Automobile Museum, Russell was part of the integrated project team that included the Owner, Michael Graves, and the designers and builders on site in the Netherlands. The final design reflects the solution to the complex challenges of a culturally and environmentally sensitive site. This experience honed Russell’s ability as a keen listener in balancing the direction of an Owner with a vision and expertise in the viewer experience along with that of the regulatory agency’s and community’s desire for the building to appear smaller than its overall square footage would imply.
Still a keen listener, Russell has established listening as the key component in ThinkForm’s studio culture and process.
